The film tells unique stories of the history of modern Vietnamese society and culture through the perspective of motorcycle enthusiasts.

Vietnam is a country that moves on two wheels. More than 45 million motorbikes across the country are used to connect cities, villages, and beaches through winding mountain roads, dense forests, desolate coasts, the Mekong Delta to the south all the way to the snow-covered peaks near the northern border.

It is the preferred means of transportation of 90 million Vietnamese. Streets and even sidewalks are jammed with motorbikes that interlocking and honking in unison. Also used as the mean way to transport cargo like doors, household items, refrigerators, TVs, even raw fish, and livestock.

Interwoven in this mayhem are the drives which carry stories which may haunt, or inspire them. Anyone can see the chaos in traffic as well as the culture of Vietnamese society but no one can explain what’s behind it? This film tells the personal stories behind those images. The motorbike will lead us deep into the life of Vietnamese people, peeling small pieces of every aspect of Vietnamese generations' lives through their personal stories.

It’s been over 40 years since wartime and motorbikes helped to liberate Vietnamese people, becoming a fundamental step to individual freedom, though this perception is almost lost and become invisible. Motorcycles have changed the whole social structure, lifestyle and the way Vietnamese people think about freedom.
